Janette Lybbert (Junghans) - Women's Basketball

Janette was a student athlete at SAIT from 1992-96 in the Legal Assistant Program. During her four years with the Women's Basketball Team, Janette collected the following achievements:

• ACAC Record for Most Points in a Single Game with 49
• ACAC Record for Most Field Goals in a Single Game with 21
• CCAA All-Canadian - 1994-95
• ACAC First Team All-Conference - 1992-93, 1994-95, and 1995-96
• SAIT Trojan Female Athlete of the Year - 1995-96
• ACAC Scoring Leader - 1994-95 and 1995-96
• ACAC Silver Medal - 1992-93 and 1993-94
• Fourth on ACAC and third on SAIT's Career Scoring List with 992 points
• SAIT Trojan Women's Basketball Rookie of the Year - 1992-93
• SAIT Trojan Women's Basketball Most Valuable Player - 1994-95 and 1995-96
• Team Captain - 1994-96

After graduation, Janette continued with her career as a Legal Assistant in Calgary, AB and kept her involvement in basketball through coaching several club teams. Janette is currently coaching in the Jr. Trojan program at SAIT and she continues to be a great SAIT Trojan ambassador through her involvement in the community.
