Allan J. Buttle

A.J. Buttle was a founding member of the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) and was also the first Executive Director. A.J. was the originator, developer, and the first Athletic Director / Administrator of the SAIT Athletic Department. He was responsible for the development of a Comprehensive Student Services Program, and the Campus Centre, which housed many of the services. He was also a staunch supporter and believer in the educational value of intercollegiate athletics.

It is fitting that the first Athletic Building Inductee be the founder of SAIT Athletics.
