Trojan Outreach Program (TOP) sponsored by Cardel Homes

During the 2007-2008 season, all SAIT Trojans teams will be heading out into the community to run clinics and take part in charitable events with local schools, minor sport programs, and charities. The SAIT Trojan Outreach Program (TOP) sponsored by Cardel Homes is an excellent opportunity for our athletes to give something back to the communities that support the SAIT Trojans. The players and coaches will work with Junior & Senior High Schools, minor hockey teams, minor soccer teams, various club teams, and local charities. If the team you are involved with would like to have their favourite Trojans sport team come out and run a practice, this is your opportunity. Please email or fax your request to the contact information provided at the bottom of the page with the following details:

• Name and description of the organization you are involved with.
• Contact person and phone number.
• Choose a month you would like to see the clinic take place in.
• State any relationship you may have with the SAIT Trojans.
• Write a brief paragraph stating how, or why, the team you are involved with could benefit from the SAIT TOP Program.

If the charitable organization you are involved with would like to see the SAIT Trojans attend one of your events, please email or fax your request to the information provided at the bottom of the page. There are a limited number of clinics and player appearances available throughout the season, so apply early and better your chances of having a clinic or event hosted by the SAIT Trojans. If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to call.

2006-2007 TOP Clinics

• Women's Soccer -completed two clinics - one with Dr. Gordon Higgins Jr. High (30 kids) and one with The North Star Avalanche Soccer U 16 Group (15 kids).
• Women's Volleyball - completed two clinics - one with William Aberhart Senior Secondary (15 kids) and one with Colonel Irvine Jr High (20 kids).
• Men's Volleyball - completed three clinics - the team did one with William Aberhart Senior (15 kids ) and one with Ian Bazalgette Junior High (25 kids); the Men's Volleyball Assistant Coach, Erin Bennet, also held one with 20 kids at Forest Lawn High School.
• Womens Basketball - ran a special session with ten Sparks Unit 122 girls (between ages 5-6) where the Sparks had a chance to interview the Trojans athletes.
• Men's Hockey - completed two clinics - one with The McKnight Club Team (15 players) and one with another team of 15 kids.
