Charity Involvement
The SAIT Trojans athletes and staff are encouraged to be positive ambassadors in the community, and as a result, have taken part in many charitable events.
- July 2006 - Five members of the SAIT Trojans staff volunteered to work at North Hill Centre's Annual Stampede Pancake Breakfast.
- September 2006 - Five members of the SAIT Trojans Women's Soccer Team, along with one staff member, participated in the Calgary Herald Raise-A-Reader Campaign to raise money for literacy.
- September 2006 - 15 members of the SAIT Trojans Women's Hockey Team participated in evaluations for Girls Hockey Calgary.
- November 2006 - Three members of the SAIT Trojans Women's Soccer Team participated in the The Mike Metcalfe 30 Hour Soccer Marathon for cancer.
- One SAIT Trojans Women's Soccer Player participated in the Polar Bear Swim (for United Way) and the Relay for Life (for Cancer Research)
- 2006-07 is the second consecutive year that the SAIT Trojans Men's Basketball team and Catholic Family Services have partnered to offer a mentoring program to young boy's aged 10-13. This program has grown from three boys last season to seven boys this season that will be mentored seven Trojans Men's Basketball players this year.
- 2006-07 - The SAIT Trojans Men's Basketball Team will once again run their elementary basketball league for the third consecutive year in a row. This year, the league will be run in conjunction with athlete's from the SAIT Trojans Women's Basketball Team and will include the four schools of Briar Hill, Rosedale, Capital Hill and Glendale Elementary.
- July 2008 - Ten members of the SAIT Athletics and Recreation staff volunteered to work at North Hill Centre's and Dalhousie Annual Stampede Pancake Breakfasts.
- September 2008 - "Raise-a- Reader" campaign for the Calgary Herald.
- March 2009 - Volunteered and worked with The Arthritis Society involving young children with severe arthritis and their parents.
